RECOGNITION DAY AT PATHLIGHT

When the school academic year ends, students who perform are awarded prizes for their efforts.

Mainstream schools call it the Annual Prize Giving day. At Pathlight, we call it Recognition Day, as it is a day we recognise our students’ effort not just academically but in conduct and the improvement they have made. Also, we recognise the contributions by the student councillors in Mass Comm, Prefectorial Board, AVA Team and Performance Arts.

The class awards were given out first, followed by the student council awards. All the students received certificates and those who received the “Best Academic Performance” awards received a $20 Popular voucher.

Ms Phua said “Your achievement today is possible through the dedication of your teachers and the support of your parents.”

Recognition Day was also to give our Track Heads and Assistant Track Heads the opportunity to give out prizes to students who did well. In a way, we recognised both students and teachers.

Giving out the awards would also spur other students to work harder next year and provide a positive reinforcement to those who did well.
