Led by student volunteers from the Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School (PLMGS), the Secondary School students went on a Katong Heritage Trail. The trail brought students through significant landmarks in the area which revealed the history of Katong and the interesting lifestyles of the Peranakans. Some also got to try their hand at making rice dumplings (zhang), and others savoured authentic treats found in Katong. This field trip was also a good opportunity for social integration with the PLMGS volunteers.
