FRESH GREEN FOR SALE FROM OUR PATHLIGHT FARM

4 November 2010

As part of their post-PSLE activities, the students from Primary 6 Edison class have been busy farming in our school garden.

The students learnt various farming processes such as sowing seeds, transplanting the seedlings, watering, weeding, harvesting and packing. Though most of them agreed that farming was not an easy task, they were thrilled when they saw the fruits of their labour. The vegetables were successfully harvested and sold to Pathlight teachers and staff to raise funds for our Pathlight Poor & Needy Fund.

This meaningful project allowed the students to put into use the knowledge they acquired in their Science lessons, as well as contribute to the needy students in our school. Through this project, they were also able to appreciate the efforts of the farmers in producing fresh greens for our consumption.
