Racial Harmony Day was a colourful affair at Pathlight School with many students and staff dressed in traditional attire like baju kurungs, cheongsams, saris and Punjabi suits. The entire school came together to celebrate our national diversity and rich cultural traditions through a host of activities and a concert.
Our students had plenty of fun engaging in traditional games such as kuti kuti and five stones while others gamely tried their hand at Chinese calligraphy and bunga manggar, a traditional Malay wedding decoration. Peals of laughter could be heard from the ones playing sepak takraw and good old fashioned marbles.
Students from our buddy schools, Townsville and Chong Boon also visited and joined in the fun and games, engaging in origami and playing congkak with our Pathlighters.
