Buddy’IN Day Camp – Integration programme with ITE College Central

On 15 and 16 of July, nine students from our Secondary 3 cohort joined students from ITE College Central for a camp at the Girls’ Brigade Headquarters. This camp is one of the many activities planned as part of the Buddy’IN programme.

Developed by NCSS and co-organised by Students Care Service (SCS), Buddy’IN serves to socially integrate graduating students from SPED schools with their peers at Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs). The programme aims to build friendships and bonds as well as create awareness and acceptance of persons with special needs in the community.

Students at the camp were grouped into 2 teams to play a variety of fun icebreakers, team-building activities and games. These were planned to encourage students from both schools to learn more about one another and form stronger bonds. It was a fun time for all!
