EARLY INTERVENTION TEACHERS

As an EARLY INTERVENTION TEACHER, your role includes (but is not limited to) the deliverance of the following:

  • Assesses autism learning needs of students using key assessment documents and processes
  • Plans appropriate lessons and activities to meet the goals as listed in the student’s Individualised Educational Plan (IEP)
  • Uses autism specific strategies in implementation of intervention to achieve IEP goals
  • Prepares appropriate materials for lesson delivery
  • Monitors, documents and reports on progress of child on IEP goals
  • Works closely with parents / carers throughout child’s intervention process
  • Initiates discussions with team members on combined sessions

It is crucial that you possess:

  • A Diploma / Degree in Early Childhood Education or Pre-school Teaching, with relevant teaching experience
  • Teachers-in-training will work under the direct supervison of an assigned coach
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational skills

SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

  • Prepare students for successful participation in national exams
  • Collaborate effectively with students? parents to generalise skills learnt in school
  • Organize and conduct integration activities to teach student appropriate social communication and interaction skills

  • Relevant experience and recognized qualification in teaching Singapore mainstream academics at primary or secondary school level
  • Candidates without teaching qualifications will be considered for Assistant Teacher position

STUDENT SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Due to our rapid expansion to serve more children, we invite people who have proven commitment and competence to join us in transforming the lives entrusted to us.

As a Student Support Assistant, your main responsibility is to support the implementation of students’ behaviour support plans for positive and quality student education outcomes.

This responsibility is carried out via the following duties (but not limited to):-

  • Recognize and respond effectively to students’ behavior escalation signs and triggers
  • Create opportunities for and facilitate practice of adaptive behaviours
  • Track and monitor students’ progress
  • Supervise students to ensure safety
  • Provide necessary support to students to ensure smooth class transitions

To be successful in this position, it is crucial that you possess:

  • A Polytechnic Diploma in any specialization or currently pursuing a part-time Degree in Psychology or related field
  • Desire to learn about Autism and the patience to teach special needs students
  • Passion to help special needs students maximize their talents and potential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Commitment Period:

JOB TRAINER & COACH

Pathlight School's Vocational Skills programme aims to educate students with a higher degree of Autism using a modified mainstream curriculum and equip them with employable skills. Our mission is to integrate these students more successfully into the working community, thus increasing their chances in employability.

Currently the school is collaborating with Mr. Bean and Starbucks and other food & beverage companies to provide job coaching opportunities for the students within the school. We are seeking to expand our job sites to include other suitable work sites.

We now have openings for Job Trainers & Coaches to train our students with vocational skills in order to equip them to work independently in the future.

Your job role will include (but not limited to):-

Conduct Job placement through assessment and job matching

  • Conducting Vocational Assessments using Standardized Assessment Tools & Informal
  • Assessment on trainee’s strength/needs, learning characteristics, job preferences
  • Developing coaching plans
  • Conducting meetings with parents to discuss collaborations

Provide on and off-site Coaching

  • Off-job-site Coaching in accordance to WSQ Curriculum
  • On-site Observation of trainee’s work performance
  • On-site Job Coaching

Conduct Training

  • Assist in modifying and updating training materials
  • Train students in nationally certified vocational courses

Others

  • Provide written updates to trainees’ parents on training/coaching progress
  • Participate in Pathlight School events and activities

It is crucial that you possess:

  • Degree in any faculty (Preferably in Psychology)

TRACK HEAD - SECONDARY

As TRACK HEAD, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:

 

Operational/ Strategic Planning

  • To develop and review syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, assessment and teaching and learning strategies in the department.
  • To oversee day-to-day management within the department, including effective deployment of staff and physical resources.
  • To actively monitor and follow up pupil progress
  • To implement School Policies and Procedures
  • To work with colleagues to formulate aims, objectives and strategic plans for the department which have coherence and relevance to the needs of pupils and to the aims, objectives and strategic plans of the School.
  • To ensure that Health and Safety policies and practices, including Risk Assessments, throughout the Department are in-line with national requirements and are updated where necessary

Curriculum

  • To liaise with the Principal / Vice Principal to ensure the delivery of an appropriate, comprehensive, high quality curriculum programme which complements the School Vision & Mission
  • To be accountable for the development and delivery of the Department’s curriculum.
  • To keep up to date with and respond to national developments in the subject area and teaching practice and methodology.

Other Specific Duties:

  • To play a full part in the life of the school community, to support its distinctive mission and to encourage and ensure staff and pupils to follow this example.
  • To engage actively in the performance review process.

HEAD OF SATELLITE SCHOOL

As part of the school’s effort to promote integration and inclusivity of our students with students in mainstream schools, we operate under the satellite model. As such we have an opening for the position of HEAD OF SATELLITE SCHOOLS.

 

Your job role includes (but is not limited to):

 

The key liaison person for the satellite school for the following functions:

 

(1) Satellite Operational Functions

  • Planning of budget for physical classroom needs in satellite schools – including logistical needs such as renovation, physical structure/equipments, etc
  • Assist in timetabling and logistical planning regarding the transition of students from PL to Satellite School (eg: bussing schedule)

(2) Education / Student Affairs

  • Academic, Social and Physical Integration Programmes and Plans by Pathlight/Satellite Schools
  • Project satellite student enrolments, classroom needs (3-5 year projections for planning purposes)
  • Coordinate new students orientation sessions at start of academic year
  • Plan and execute parent briefing sessions for parents of secondary school students.

(3) Liaison with internal / external stakeholders

  • Manage data reporting required by MOE to track results and progress of all integration program related to satellite model
  • Build positive working relationships with satellite schools to aid in the fruitful collaboration process.
  • Work effective with internal and external stakeholders including Pathlight Sec School team members and teachers involved in satellite programs

(4) Other areas

  • Support school wide activities when required
  • Support and adhere to MOE/NCSS guidelines and policies

It is crucial that you possess:

  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
  • 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong organizational skills with strong detail orientation
  • Good command of verbal and written English
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging work environment
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (especially Words, Powerpoint and Excel)
  • Proactive, responsible with good public relation skills

IT MANAGER

As a IT MANAGER your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Leverage the organization’s need with emerging information technology

F&B EXECUTIVE

    • Safety and security of and in the premise of the kitchen.

  • Daily operations
    • Daily set-up and stand-down of food, coffee and beverages sold.
    • Ensuring all food sold is made available for sale by maintaining a stock-list.
    • Assisting in taking orders and collection of payment for orders.
    • Collating monthly revenue of sales
       
  • Catering for school events
    • Proposing menu.
    • Preparing food for proposed menu.
    • Setting up stations for food.
    • Clearing up after events.
       
  • General duties
    • Supporting and facilitating the coaching of students training.
    • Managing and delegating work to Café and employees with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
    • Any other duties as required by the Café Manager to support the Café operations

  • Minimum a NITEC/ A’Levels/ Diploma certificate.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

As an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, you will be responsible in providing support to the following areas, including (but not limited to):

  1. General Administration
    • Reception and front desk duties (eg: handling walk-in queries, phone calls, voice mails, in-coming and out-going mails)
    • Printing and disseminating communication letters to students
    • Ensuring all moneys (e.g. School fees) collected are accounted for with the Finance Department
    • Frequent updating of the contact management system and notice boards
    • Sending out details and minutes of mass communication to staff
  2. Operational Support
    • Tabulating data, disseminating and collating of Student Process Reports
    • Preparing materials required for exmination purposes (eg: printing & distribution exam papers)
    • Facilitating the timely scheduling & successful execution of student-parent meetings
    • Maintaining a database for the collection and accountability of students' insurance
    • Providing support in Edusave deduction for CCAs and Enrichment Lessons
  3. Others
    1. Ensuring a well-maintained key issuance system & Security passes for visitors
    2. Ensuring adequate stock of stationery & spare uniforms and to place orders when required
    3. Maintaining first-aid kids and the sickbay.
    4. Supporting other school events/activities
    You should possess:
    • Minimum a O’Levels / ITE / NITEC certificate
    • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in related administrative fields
