A MediShield Information Session Session was conducted in Sept 2008 by the Ministry of Health and CPF Board at the request of Autism Resource Centre (Singapore). Many families with special needs children are unclear about the latter's coverage under the MediShield.

To create a school-wide learning experience, Pathlight School specially booked an entire cinema hall (GV Grand) for all Pathlighters to watch Singapore’s first 3-D animation film - Sing to the Dawn.
The Post-PSLE Push Cart Sales CIP Project saw both Primary 6 classes working as a team to start a business. They started from planning to the actually selling stage -- they brainstormed on what the customer would want, worked out the selling price of the merchandise so as to ensure a profitable business.
Pathlighters learnt to respect other races and cultures other then their own. They were exposed to the Indian culture, and ate with their hands in an Indian vegetarian restaurant and tried food they had never tried before.
From healthy eating to good physical health and even learning to cope with anxiety and stress, students discovered the secrets of good health in an interactive and fascinating way.

Together Hwa Chong Institute (HCI), Kampong Glam grassroots organisations and building materials supplier KUS Holdings Pte Ltd, which donated $30,000, Pathlighters helped to serve the needy residents of Kampong Glam Constituency.

It was a day of fun and excitement specially put together for the students. From face painting, graffiti collage, treasure hunt, to decorating their own cupcakes, students got to try out many new experiences at the various interactive stations.

Our Secondary 3 student Nicholas Toi, was interviewed for a segment on Channel U’s News segment. The news piece focused on the special talent of a person with Autism.

The Primary 5 students visited the Singapore Garden Festival and were treated to awesome displays of flowers, vegetables and beautifully landscaped gardens.
Pathlighters came dressed in their traditional ethnic costumes. Performance highlights included special items by our Ruan musicians and the Performing Arts Team who performed to rousing applause
