Mrs Anita Russell, Senior Autism Consultant at the ARC(S) said therapy involving animals is often an alternative therapy that aims to develop one’s sensory and social skills, manage challenging behaviour and improve quality of life.

We celebrated Global Day with a wonderful performance by students that featured the cultural dances from Egypt, Japan and Korea. Students were also taught to sing a song that included greetings in 9 different languages.
Our Primary One students enjoyed a learning trip to the Singapore Zoological Gardens which was organised and sponsored by a group of undergraduate volunteers from SMU.
TOTAL DEFENCE DAY CUM CROSS-COUNTRY RUN WITH CHONG BOON SECONDARY SCHOOL (CBSS)
As part of the social integration activities with our satellite partner, a select group of our secondary school students took part in the cross-country run of the Total Defence Day event by CBSS.
The students enjoyed the Chinese New Year Celebrations at Pathlight tremendously. The masters of ceremony, our very own Secondary School students, Perry Kwoh and Huang Kaisong hosted the event like professionals!
Our Primary 5 students from Shorea class made a difference by helping out at MILK Fund’s Share-a-Meal 2009 Community Involvement Programme on 19 January 2009.

UPDATE OF NEW SCHOOL BUILDING
As of 13 January 2009, all buildings have reached roof level and external works are in progress. We
are on schedule to complete the project by EndMarch 2009. The ARC (S) HQ and Pathlight School plan to move during the mid year holidays in 2009.
This festive season, we are proud to present Qin Yuan's Year of Ox eCard, completed in Adobe Photoshop during his design pre-vocational training. Good Job Qin Yuan!
