ADP Artists Get Their Sunny Day On Sesame Street

ADP Artists Get Their Sunny Day On Sesame Street

Ten of our Artist Development Programme (ADP) artists were invited to put their special spin on Oscar the Grouch’s trash cans, as part of Sesame Street’s 50th anniversary celebration at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) - Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).

Our artists’ decorated the trash cans with creative and meaningful designs of their favourites characters and memories of Sesame Street. These were showcased alongside 40 other trash cans decorated by local and regional celebrities and influencers in the first-of-its-kind Oscar's Trash Can Exhibition.

Student artist Kaylan Lim Jolie, who was one of the ten ADP artists involved, shared: "My design comes from my personal experience of watching Sesame Street as a child. Sesame Street has become a voice for diversity and inclusion with the addition of the autistic muppet Julia. It has been awesome for 50 years and it will continue to be!”

The trash cans are on display at various locations within Resorts World Sentosa, including Universal Studios Singapore till 28 April 2019. If you spot any of the cans, do take a picture with it and upload it to Instagram with #SS50xUSS and @RWSentosa! For every post, RWS will pledge $5 to Autism Resource Centre! That would definitely put a smile on even the grouchiest Grouch’s face!
