Pathlight Runners participated in Running Hour 2019, a national event that aims to promote integration and inclusion through running, which was held on 27 July.
Pathlighters supported runners who were visually impaired through the inclusive run, which saw over 500 visually, intellectually, hearing and physically and mentally challenged runners participate this year. They showed that they could be just as athletic as their mainstream peers and successfully completed the 5km run. They even participated in the “empathy run” segment, which simulated the challenges faced by the different groups of those with special needs.
Well done Pathlighters for contributing to the rallying call for Singapore to come together and work towards a more inclusive society!
