As part of the School's emergency preparedness, our students participated in a school-wide Home-Based Learning (HBL) simulated practice. Under the guidance of teachers/class coaches, students successfully completed a HBL lesson plan using both e-learning platforms and physical resources.
This came in handy when all schools embarked on Full HBL from 8 April to 4 May 2020, in line with the nationwide circuit-breaker measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. Educators used a range of both online and hardcopy HBL materials to ensure that our students continued with their academic and life readiness curriculum. They also supported parents by sharing tips such as setting up the autism-friendly support structures needed at home and guiding students to navigate cyberspace safely.
Together, students, parents and staff at Pathlight proved that nothing was going to get in the way of their learning!
